The Dos Lagos Vineyards are nestled in the hills of the Atlas Peak AVA in Napa, California.
A 22 acre property, there are 5 acres of premium Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The altitude is approximately 1,650 feet. A rocky terroir, the volcanic rock is called "tuff." The vines are planted partially on the hillsides, sloping
down to the two lakes.
The vines are exposed to hot summer days and cool nights. The coastal fog reaches the top of the vineyard. This special climate provides a long growing season, and enables a beautifully balanced, complex wine.
The grapes are picked late in order to intensify their flavors, brought through
the skins. These are truly ideal ripening conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon!
Hector Lopez is our vineyard manager. Bob Foley, known as "King of Cab" is the Winemaker for Dos Lagos Vineyards.
Awards and spent a few days and some late nights meeting rap, R&B and kuduro superstars from across Africa: names like Banky W, Fally Ipupa, Daddy Owen, Cabo Snoop and Radio & Weasel, from Angola to Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo and beyond, all huge stars in their own countries, selling truckloads of records despite rampant piracy and a rickety music industry. These guys are kind of the Jay Zs and Snoops of Africa, basically.
